Empowering Immigrant Youth

New York City Resources for the Children of Immigrants is a dedicated platform that aims to provide comprehensive support to immigrant youth in accessing education and career resources.

This website provides a centralized platform for resources that can help the children of immigrants navigate the challenges of living in a new country. This idea was born from in-depth interviews conducted for my Ph.D. dissertation project.

Most interviewees expressed the need for role models to navigate the host country, a sentiment that resonates with many in our community. They have mentioned that even if there were resources that could help them advance in their education and career, they were informed about these resources when it was too late to have them due to needing more information and network. To address this mobility barrier, we are creating a website that makes resources ostensibly available and more accessible to the children of immigrants from different classes, genders, and racial backgrounds. Organizing this information under one source is essential to facilitate easy access to many NYC resources simultaneously.
